Come and grow with us! We warmly welcome you and your student to Highway Christian Academy.  Our facilities are located at 1503 Kind Street in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We are conveniently off of Route 1 behind Highway Assembly of God.  Our facilities feature a full gymnasium, 18 classrooms, tons of room to explore outdoors, and a shaded playground!

Our Mission

What We Stand For

The mission of Highway Christian Academy is to support families by providing a distinctly Christian education that equips students to strive for academic excellence, acknowledge and embrace Biblical truths, follow Christ, model Christ-like character in all areas of their lives, and develop a Christian worldview for the glory of God.

Our Vision

Investing in the lives of our students

Our vision is to build a Christ centered school that emphasizes strong academics, strong Christian character, strong faith in Christ, all which are emphasized in our service to God.  We seek to foster a nurturing, mutually supportive school community of students who pursue learning and Christian character enthusiastically, parents who wholeheartedly support the school’s mission, and caring, qualified Christian faculty and staff who are committed to teaching Godly principles and investing in the lives of students.

Our preschool has a mix of student led, play based centers, and teacher directed lessons.  We incorporate movement through the day and take a child’s attention span into consideration.  Our themed centers are designed to build students character and teach social-emotional skills.  This year our chapel theme is Heroes of the Bible.

We are excited to continue to grow! Our elementary school began in 2023 and we are continuing to grow! In our 2024 – 2025 school year, we will serve Preschool through 2nd grade. We have carefully selected our curriculum to offer a well-rounded education to your students.  We are ready to start our school year and see how our kids grow! Please contact us to be put on our future grades waiting list.  We intend to add on a new grade each subsequent school year.

Students in kindergarten and above will enjoy physical education,  Spanish, Art, and music as a part of their curriculum.  Also offered are before and aftercare classes.

Our Purpose

Why We Exist

We believe that our primary purpose is to minister to local families by providing an education based on Christian values and principles.
