Keeping your child safe
Lockdown Procedure
Our lockdown procedure invovles signaling the classroom teachers with an alert sound and the teachers responding by barricading their doors with Nightlock Lockdown door barricade. The accompanying video shows the reliability of Nightlock Lockdown door barricade based on police testing. Teachers also use a magnetic window shade to cover windows and move the children to a secure position in the room. Our entire building is constructed with concrete block which doubles as fire protection.
In the event of a lockdown drill, parents will be notified 72 hours in advance. In the event of an actual lockdown, parents will be notified as soon as possible. Parents will not be able to pick up children during a lockdown.
